Mike Rowe is the MAN! What a brilliant concept.

You can't help but love this show even though House is a complete dick to everyone.

HIMYM

This show crept out of no-where, and I am thanking everyone at CBS for keeping it going. Brilliant and hilarious. NPH is the MAN!

Two and a Half Men

Posted : 1 year, 2 months ago on 26 July 2007 11:48 (A review of Two and a Half Men)

It took a while to grow on me, but this show is hilarious. Charlie Sheen is the man. Jon Cryer is anything but a man. And the kid is hysterical.

The only reason to watch MTV. Rob & Big are a hilarious duo.

So Bad

Posted : 1 year, 2 months ago on 23 July 2007 04:29 (A review of The Singing Bee)

Man, how many out of work Hollywood actors can keep this show from its upcoming death? None. Joey Fatone really must hate Justin Timberlake.

Brilliant

Posted : 1 year, 2 months ago on 23 July 2007 04:25 (A review of The Flight of the Conchords)

Absolutely brilliant. The subtle humor of these Kiwi's are just what HBO needed with the loss of the Sopranos.

CSI: Miami

Posted : 1 year, 10 months ago on 21 November 2006 07:12 (A review of CSI: Miami)

The acclaimed CSI series went south (figuratively) with the addition of Miami. David Caruso may have resurrected his career with a high weekly Nielsen rating, but that does not account for his ridiculous overacting and dramatic postures. As for the rest of the cast, Calleigh (Emily Procter) may be one of the worst actresses on television and "Mr Wolfe" (in David Caruso's voice) is a pathetic clone of the original series' fun loving Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda). The newest addition, mole-turned-CSI Natalia Boa Vista (Eva La Rue) is so awful, she makes Emily Procter look like an Oscar winner.

Aside from the cast, another grievance is when each CSI feels the need to explain their "techniques" to each other as a way for the audience to understand what is going on. Honestly, stop taking cues from Sesame Street, we are not 5 years old, so don't explain it to each other with voices that look down on our intelligence.

I guess the only reason I still watch is because Thursday is a long ways from Monday and like any crack addict I need to fill the void until the original airs.

The Original

Posted : 1 year, 11 months ago on 14 November 2006 07:49 (A review of The Bourne Identity)

I am definitely against remakes unless of course they are worthy of and better than the original. This film fits into both categories, as it is perhaps one of the worst spy thrillers I have ever seen. The 2002 remake starring Matt Damon stands well beyond this orginal and I often use it as a reference to when remakes can be surpass its creator.

Not so Mysterious

Posted : 1 year, 11 months ago on 7 November 2006 11:19 (A review of The Cosby Mysteries)

There were so many holes in the made for tv movie that the only mystery I found was how long the show this was adapted from managed to stay on tv. There is however a nice surprise cameo by wannabe detective Mos Def.
