Haha
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 07:27 (A review of Lionheart)Haha. As much a joke as Jean-Claude Van Damme's career is, I will never quite get over how successful a stretch he had in the early 90s. The acting is awful, but somehow the action makes up for it.

Bribery Pt. 1
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 07:21 (A review of Legally Blonde)Do know what it took for my girlfriend to get me to see this film? Let's just say the bribe was in my favor. With that being said, this film was torture to sit through...I mean at least "Clueless" was entertaining. Definitely not for a dude.

Evolution
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 07:18 (A review of Evolution)I think the only reason I saw this film was because Mulder was in it...and it actually wasn't that bad. It was sci-fi comedy at its best, what more could you ask for with.

Exit Wounds
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 07:12 (A review of Exit Wounds)Whats with DMX and martial arts crime movies? He is so bad, he makes Steven Seagal look Oscar worthy. Entertaining, but don't expect anything more.

Street Fighter
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 07:02 (A review of Street Fighter)I was actually more impressed than expected considering the acting talent that was on board for this video game adaptation. Don't get me wrong, it was bad, but what can you expect, it's from a video game whose storyline relies on beating up a single opponent, how complex could it be?

Hardball
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 06:59 (A review of Hardball)This inner city black exploitation film challenged the baseball world, first: by including the worst actor ever, Keanu Reeves; and second: by modernizing the Bad News Bears with an inner city feel. What ever happened to good baseball movies like, the Natural or Major League?

Exploitation
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 06:55 (A review of Ladder 49)I always felt like this film was a cheap Hollywood exploitation of the firefighter following the 9/11 tragedy. It drew big numbers at the box office from sympathetic viewers but ultimately, the film was just ok.

Nothing to Lose by Watching this Film
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 05:53 (A review of Nothing to Lose)Martin Lawrence has made a living combining his talented humor with that of a high profile on-screen counterpart. The duos he creates play such an important role in each of his films success and Nothing to Lose is no exception. This film is hilarious and entertaining as we follow a man at the end of his wits team up with a wannabe crook. Definitely worth a look.

Eastwood Classic
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 05:49 (A review of Mystic River)In the wave of instant classics directed by Clint Eastwood, this may have been his best. I originally put this movie off my list to watch mainly because I felt it was one of those films that I "had to be in the mood" to watch. Man was I wrong. As much as it is dark, Mystic River tells so powerful a story, I could not help but wonder why I had waited so long to see it. Sean Penn turns in another amazing performance as this one was truly deserving of all the accolades that came during the award season.

Typical Sandler
Posted : 17 years, 10 months ago on 4 February 2007 05:44 (A review of Mr. Deeds)Adam Sandler definitely brought the original Mr. Deeds to life in this modern remake all with the humor that we have come to know and love from him. Its too bad the story pretty much mimics ever other romantic comedy he does.
