Karate Flop

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 09:55 (A review of Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon)

Bruce Lee kicks ass! This video game however does not. I was bored of knocking people around karate chop style after a day. Enter the Dragon this is not.

Unrealistic?

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 09:48 (A review of Major League Baseball 2K6)

Any game that has Jorge Posada hitting close to .500 with 55 homeruns over the course of a season is a little far-fetched. But what can I say, I'm a Yankees fan, I love it.

Overall, the game has some nice features, especially the batting control, which is hands down the best I have ever seen. I definitely recommend it over its counterpart MVP.

Ocean's Prelude

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 09:38 (A review of Out of Sight)

This may have been George Clooney's audition tape to the Ocean's Eleven series, similar character development and interaction with the leading lady, yes, definitely a nice prelude to Daniel Ocean. Overall, a good movie and I barely noticed the acting "talent" that is J.Lo.

More Like Crapifier

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 09:32 (A review of The Pacifier)

Ok, I get The Chronicles of Riddick, that was a contractual agreement set in place before Vin Diesel's so-called stardom set in, but honestly, who is the agent that is bringing Diesel this crap. I have a rule that once a movie starts I have to finish it, well this was the dumbest movie ever, and as torturous as it was, I made it through.

Basketball and Beer

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 08:59 (A review of ESPN NBA 2K5)

This game has played such an important role in summertime beerfest weekend extravaganzas. As a stand-alone game, the graphics rock and playing against the CPU is about as addictive and frustrating as any other game, but this is basketball and its better than watching what David Stern calls the real thing.

As a drinking game, ESPN has molded the perfect vehicle to a highway of drunkiness. 1 drink for a slam dunk, 1 drink for a replay, 1 drink for a taunt, 2 drinks for a three, 1 drink for a block, 1 drink for a steal, etc...Enjoy.

Fantasical Adventure

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 08:22 (A review of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex)

A fun, addictive, fantasy game. The graphics are a little weak, but you get too caught up in the action adventure to notice.

Knockoff

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 08:08 (A review of Dead to Rights)

This is a poor imitation knockoff of the great Max Payne, but without regard is still interesting enough to hold your attention. The puzzles keep the game fresh but the shooter angles are graphically weak.

My First and Greatest...

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 08:04 (A review of Max Payne)

My first game purchased for XBOX still stands as the greatest. From the storyline to the action, this is the only game that took over my nights until I finished it a week later. Max Payne is gritty, tough, and all-in-all badass.

Yankeeography

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 1 November 2006 07:53 (A review of Yankeeography, Vol. 3)

A must-have for every New York Yankees fan. The signature biographies of the winningest sports franchise is a perfect fit in the annals of baseball history. Volume 3 highlights Yankees great Joltin' Joe DiMaggio and "The straw that stirs the drink" himself, Reggie Jackson.

A must-have for every New York Yankees fan. The signature biographies of the winningest sports franchise is a perfect fit in the annals of baseball history. Volume 2 highlights two of the greatest Yankees hitters in Lou Gehrig and Mickey Mantle and the game's most dominant closer Mariano Rivera.
