Along Came a Spider

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 10:34 (A review of Along Came a Spider)

Along came another film from detective Alex Cross that failed to bring intrigue to its suggested crime mystery. If the first fails, why try a sequel?

Fantastical Mechanical

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 10:31 (A review of *Batteries Not Included)

Batteries not included? I wish film wasn't included in the cameras that made this fantastical-mechanical garbage. I love the alien mechanical life-forms, but seriously, they come to earth to save a building and its worthy tenants from demolition, I don't think so.

Crappy Crystal

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 10:23 (A review of Analyze That)

Robert De Niro had the role right, typical mobster, but its to bad he had Billy Crystal and his phony comedy weighing him down. Honestly, a sequel? The first was funny, bbut hardly worth a follow up.

Unbelievable

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 10:12 (A review of Air Force One (1997))

Harrison Ford may be the President of the United States, but he sure knows how to kick some ass. In order to save his family from master villian Gary Oldman, Ford puts on the most unlikely performance of any president (excluding Teddy Roosevelt).

Life after High School

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 10:05 (A review of All the Right Moves)

Tom Cruise takes on the peformance of a teen facing the harsh realities and decisions of life after high school. As in all of Cruise's early performances, he makes the film.

Remarkable

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 09:59 (A review of Alive)

This real life story is highlighted by man's willingness to survive through cannibalism in the harsh climits of the uninhabited Andes mountains. It is a remarkable look into the spirit of human endurance under extreme circumstances.

Weak Action

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 09:53 (A review of A Civil Action)

Slick big city lawyer Jan Schlichtmann (John Travolta) takes on an environmental case that leads him down the path of career suicide. This drama has an all to real feeling, but it wasn't a story that holds enough interest to warrant a good review.

Typical Bosnan

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 09:42 (A review of After the Sunset)

A typical Pierce Brosnan crime mystery thriller, but this one falls far short of his performance in the Thomas Crown Affair. The Bosnan, Woody Harrelson, Salma Hayek triangle is stale and the ultimate score is all build up-weak twist.

Ace Ventura

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 09:38 (A review of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective)

The Jim Carrey coming out party began with this comedy classic and years later I still laugh harder with every view. Carrey's character is a comedic icon and his performance is one of the best in recent comedy history.

Comedy in a Duffel Bag

Posted : 18 years ago on 23 November 2006 09:19 (A review of 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag)

Joe Pesci is at the top of his game in the role he knows best, mobster. The storyline is weak, but the comedy of Pesci and David Spade is hilarious.
