The Tulip
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 14 November 2006 08:59 (A review of The Whole Nine Yards)Why does Matthew Perry insist he can make the transition to the silver screen? Bruce Willis is Bruce Willis but this film is no Bonfire of the Vanities. It would have been better had the humor been toned down, but overall, it was entertaining.

Battle of the Bulge
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 14 November 2006 08:52 (A review of Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot)I have to ask the question, is this Sly Stallone's answer to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Kindergarten Cop? If not for Golden Girl Estelle Getty's humor, this movie would have tanked.

Flash...Aaaaaaaaa!
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 13 November 2006 07:04 (A review of Flash Gordon)Flash Gordon, quarterback New York Jets, becomes intergalactic savior all to the tune of Queen's classic soundtrack. All I have to say is "Flash...Aaaaa...Savior of the universe!" Does it really get any better than that?

Hellblazer
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 13 November 2006 06:40 (A review of Constantine)I am overlooking the fact that Keanu Reeves is the star when I say this film is amazing. Visually stunning and well adapted to the graphic novel, Constantine is much better than expected. The appearance of Satan is far and away his best character cameo in movie history.

Hitch a Sappy Romance Comedy
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 13 November 2006 06:30 (A review of Hitch)Strange to see Will Smith in anything other than an action summer blockbuster, but in this chick-flick comedy Smith trades in his acting talent for sappy romance. The ending is awful, but overall it was pretty entertaining and funny.

Kung Fu Classic
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 11 November 2006 05:52 (A review of Kung Fu Hustle)The drunken poetry of Kung Fu Hustle came completely unexpected. Strictly from a Kung Fu standpoint, it is by far one of the best new-age martial arts films in recent memory. The comedy that follows the storyline and characters is goofy, but makes the movie unique and much more entertaining. I highly recommend.

Thunder Travels
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 11 November 2006 09:24 (A review of A Sound of Thunder)Conceptually, this is one of the freshest science fiction time travel films I have seen. Visually it was spectacular, but the acting fell far short with typical on-screen romancer Edward Burns at the helm and the rest of the supporting cast resting uncomfortably in his wings.

A Mighty Comedy
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 11 November 2006 09:19 (A review of A Mighty Wind)Christopher Guest nails it again with his musical mockumentary, A Mighty Wind. The subtleness of humor makes each character truly believable in their roles. I definately recommend it.

Trial and Error
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 11 November 2006 09:15 (A review of My Cousin Vinny)Like the tagline suggests "A comedy of trial and error", this film makes the courtroom worthy of Joe Pesci's playground. Marisa Tomei is perfect in the supporting role.

Typical Decision
Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 11 November 2006 09:10 (A review of Executive Decision)Steven Seagal is not the star nor hero in this nailbiter? I can't believe his ego allowed it. Very entertaining but the storyline is typical action suspense.
